Basic Life Support Training and first aid was conducted last January 20, 2020 in Barangay Motibot covered court. Our group spearheaded this 1-day training with Nurullaji Aguil, our group mate who is a licensed EMT-B, who became the key speaker. This training was assisted by MDRRMC of Sindangan who provided the needed equipment for the said event.
The BLS training was attended by the 30 members of the BMERS core team. They were trained with: first aid and proper wound care, 1 rescuer adult and infant Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), bandaging, and lifting.
Pre-test and post-test were given to every participant to evaluate what they have learned during the training. Return demonstration was also done to evaluate whether they have acquired the skills of providing high quality CPR to adults.
At the end of the training, BMERS core team signed and swore an oath to provide BLS to anyone in need.
