ZERO OPEN DEFECATION GOAL

Throughout the years, our group have been emphasizing on the importance of having sanitary toilet facility and extend our efforts to coordinate with different organizations on the acquisition of toilet bowls as part of our community Health Plan.

 

 

Last exposure, with the help of the Barangay council, we handed toilet bowls to identified recipients. They were given 15 days to accomplish their own toilet facilities for the next re inspection. Almost all of those who received the toilet bowls were able to have their sanitary toilet facilities.

 

                                                    

                                       

With the recent Evaluation of our group, we revisit those who were given with toilet facility, and we were grateful to witness that alot of them were able to build their own toilet facilities and were able to use it.

 

This month, together with our sanitary Inspector, barangay council, nurse and bhws, we re-evaluated the toilet facilities of the residence of Barangay Motibot in line with the Goal of having Zero Open Defecation certification.

                                            

                                    

Through this initiative, it ushers a change where residents become enlightened of the risks and fecal-oral diseases brought about by open defecation and unsanitary toilet facilities won't foster.
