5 months have passed and another exposure is coming. Still, the excitement is there as we will once
again be welcomed with genuine smiles in our second home, Barangay Motibot.
Since it is now our second exposure, real work starts. Before and after our
final examination, our group has met to discuss the things we need to prepare
and how our dynamics would be.
This time, we have to prepare for our actual activities
which include:
- House-to-house survey & interview from sector 1 to sector 7, with a total of 603 households;
- Analysis of data collected;
- Identification of community health problems with the community; and
- Prioritization of problems.
Aside
from what was stated above, individually, we have to choose an individual and
family to work with and formulate health plans as well. Through this, we are
given the chance to focus to an individual and family and promote health.
Truly, these activities are challenging as we need to do all
these in less than a month…20 days to be exact. But of course, beyond the
requirements, we instilled in our hearts and minds that this is the start of
our opportunity to help and address the health needs of the people in Barangay
Motibot. We have aspired of giving the people of Motibot the life and
healthcare that they deserve and this exposure marks the start of making that
happen. It is absolutely not easy, but
like what our group’s motto says:
“Sa pag-paningkamot, atong makabut ang kaayuhan alang sa
Motibot”
(by striving, we will attain the betterment for Motibot)
